deadlines.

Six months from the action is the outside limit on Tinder, Bumble, Badoo, OkCupid, Match and POF. Grindr and Feeld publish no window at all, which is not the same as forever. Hinge prints none in its Terms, but its ban screen can give a last date for the appeal, so read it there. Sooner is better, always. On timing: most decisions land within a day, some take weeks. A certified dispute body under the Digital Services Act, named in the European Commission’s register for Tinder, Hinge and OkCupid. Free to you. You have one year from the moderation decision and you do not have to finish the in-app appeal first, which is the only route on this page you can start early. It is also the only one whose rules expressly let someone represent you. Target 90 days, 180 at the outside.

The two bodies that publish dating apps on their own intake forms. ADR Center names Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, Badoo and OkCupid, and gives you twelve months from the decision. ADR Point names Tinder, Hinge and Bumble, and states no deadline at all, a gap in its rules, not permission to take your time. Both are free to you, and on both the in-app appeal must be sent first, which does not restart ADR Center’s twelve months: those run from the decision itself. ADR Point also wants a copy of your ID or passport. Neither binds the platform. On Match Group’s own 2025 figures, bodies like these reversed 161 Hinge decisions and 66 Tinder decisions.

A legal demand for the data they hold on you. It must be answered, though they can withhold what a reporter said and Hinge leaves ban reasons out of its exports. No deadline to send one; once sent, the law runs the clock. EU: one month, plus two for genuinely complex cases. UK: one month, and it now runs from the day they receive your ID, not the day you asked. California: 45 days plus another 45, with an acknowledgement owed inside 10 business days. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and Texas: 45 plus 45, then a 60-day appeal, then the Attorney General.

These run from the charge, not the ban, so they are usually the first thing to expire. Google Play: 48 hours. Tinder web purchases: 14 days. Hinge through Stripe: 14 days. Bumble: 6 days on a weekly plan, 14 on a monthly one. Twelve US states give you 3 business days. The EU and UK withdrawal right is 14 days. A Notice of Dispute gives them 60 days to settle before anything formal. Apple and Google refunds come from your own store account.

No deadline to send, and no ban has ever been lifted by one - Match Group answers these with a template saying it cannot process appeals through the portal. What it does is build a public record: US and Canada residents, one complaint per business every 24 months, 14 days for the company to answer, about 30 days to close, visible for three years. Opt in only if you want the file.
