You appeal once, through the form in your block notice, inside six months. Bumble’s own 2025 figures show 2,419 of 26,318 account appeals reversed, 9.2%, at a median of 4 hours 3 minutes. Here is what the form is, what the figures leave out, and where each route stops.
Intake first. Payment after. Not taken on = refunded.
Two quick answers and an address. We email you a letter built for what happened, with the facts only you can find marked, and where to find each one.
We send it now, then check in a few times over the next week to see how it went. One click stops that.
To get unbanned from Bumble you appeal once, through the appeals form linked in the notification Bumble showed you, within six months of the decision. Bumble’s Terms, last updated on 17 June 2026, say that is “the best way to appeal”, with chat support as the alternative. Nothing else reverses a block: not a new account, not a VPN. On Bumble’s own 2025 figures it reversed 2,419 of the 26,318 appeals it received against account suspensions or terminations, 9.2%. AppealMyBan handles exactly this: we write the appeal you send, and we file the access request and the EU dispute body in your name. The tiers are on the pricing page.
AppealMyBan is an independent service. Not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Bumble or Bumble Inc.
The block screen, the payment questions and the full dispute-body steps are in the Bumble blocked guide, and the grounds Bumble files in banned from Bumble for no reason. This page is about the word unbanned: what reversal looks like in Bumble’s own numbers and what to put in front of the person who decides.
We work out which routes are actually open to you, write the appeal where the app gives you a box for one, and file the routes outside the app in your name, the first inside 48 hours. We never ask for your password. Intake first, payment after.
Get my case built - $149Bumble’s Terms, last updated on 17 June 2026, give the route in one paragraph: “you have the option to appeal our decision within a six-month period”. They add that “the best way to appeal is to fill out the appeals form linked in the notification shown to you within the app at the time. Alternatively, you can contact us”. Bumble’s help article Digital Services Act: Disputes about content removal and account blocks, updated 30 September 2026, repeats the six months and adds that you can “seek assistance from a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body”, including where you disagree with the outcome of an appeal. Those bodies’ decisions “are not legally binding on either you or Bumble”.
Three lines in the Terms decide how you write. Submitting appeals that are “manifestly unfounded” counts as misuse, so a pile of appeals works against you. Bumble “may also suspend or close your Account where you have multiple Accounts”, which is why a second account is not a way back. And for harmful conduct “committed in your past or outside of Bumble”, Bumble says “we may take action as if it happened on our platform”, so a block can follow something that happened on a date or on another service.
The notification is the key document. Bumble’s 2026 DSA transparency report says members “can appeal the decision via links provided in a statement of reasons they receive”, and that its in-app Help Hub, which it says is “accessible to EU members”, lets them “track the status and view the outcome of their safety reports”. Search your email, spam included, for the statement of reasons before you write anything. If you can no longer find it, chat support in the Help Hub is the Terms’ alternative route.
Bumble publishes the numbers that answer “how often does an appeal work”. They are in the Annex I workbook that goes with its 2026 transparency report, covering 1 January to 31 December 2025, which we read on 3 October 2026.
| What was appealed in 2025 | Appeals | Reversed |
|---|---|---|
| A decision to suspend or terminate an account | 26,318 | 2,419 (9.2%), median 4 h 3 min |
| A decision to remove content or restrict visibility | 15,664 | 6,646 (42.4%), median 37 min |
| All appeals together | 41,982 | 9,065 (21.6%), median 61 min |
Read the first row as a floor, not as your odds. Bumble’s own footnote says that for in-app reports other than illegal-content reports “only the party reported will get the option to appeal”, and the pool also holds people whose report was rejected and who asked for a second look. Two things still stand out. A complaint about a ban is reversed about one time in eleven, while a complaint about removed or hidden content is reversed more than four times in ten. And account appeals are the slowest, at a median of 4 hours 3 minutes against 37 minutes for content.
Compare it with Hinge, which files the same kind of report: it reversed 31,251 of 86,650 account appeals in 2025, 36.1%, at a median of 19 hours. A reversal rate measures how often an app changed its mind, not whether the first decision was right. It tells you that on Bumble the appeal has to do real work.
The notice names a ground, and the ground tells you what an appeal can add. In Bumble’s filings to the EU database from 31 July to 28 September 2026, 2,859 accounts were terminated; 86.5% were marked not automated, so a person made the call.
| Ground named in the filing | Terminations | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Adult nudity and sexual activity: commercial sex | 656 | 22.9% |
| Underage use | 628 | 22.0% |
| Sexual harassment: cyberflashing | 296 | 10.4% |
| Adult nudity and sexual activity (other) | 279 | 9.8% |
| Sexual harassment: unwanted sexual content or messages | 221 | 7.7% |
| All other grounds | 779 | 27.2% |
Those filings are the notified minority. Bumble’s annual report counts far larger numbers that rarely produce a statement: 212,901 accounts terminated under Scams, Fraud and Theft in 2025, most of them detected by automated systems. If your notice cites something like that and nothing on your profile looks like a scam, spam or a fake account, the appeal is that: say so, and ask for a person to look. If it cites underage use, the evidence is a document that shows your date of birth, which why Bumble said I am underage walks through.

The case check is free and takes two minutes. It tells you which routes are open on your ban, including the cases where it tells you not to pay anyone.

A new account does not reverse the block you are appealing; it sets up a second breach beside it, because Bumble’s Terms say it may close an account “where you have multiple Accounts”. A VPN or a new phone number changes nothing about the decision. Bumble’s pages name two channels for a block, the form in the notification and chat support, and no email address for staff, so a message to an employee or a post at the company on social media is not a route either (the other apps are compared in email or phone number to appeal a dating app ban). And we cannot promise a reversal: the decision belongs to Bumble, and on its own figures most account appeals are refused.
We are not a law firm and do not give legal advice. We never ask for a password. Start with the free check, which takes about two minutes.
Appeal through the form linked in the notification Bumble showed you, within six months of the decision. Bumble’s Terms of 17 June 2026 call that the best way, with chat support as the alternative. Answer the ground named in the notice, attach what proves it, and send it once.
Sometimes. In 2025 Bumble reversed 2,419 of the 26,318 appeals it received against account suspensions or terminations, 9.2%, at a median of 4 hours 3 minutes. That pool mixes cases, so treat it as a floor. No one can promise a reversal, including us.
Bumble’s own 2025 workbook gives a median of 4 hours 3 minutes for appeals against account suspensions or terminations, and 61 minutes across all appeals. A median hides the slow cases, and Bumble publishes no promise, so file inside the six months and keep the confirmation.
The in-app route is set at six months in Bumble’s Terms, so after that it is closed on Bumble’s own words. A data access request is not time-limited the same way, and it shows what Bumble holds. Ask for it before you decide anything else.
Bumble’s page Content on Bumble, updated 27 September 2026, says it may remove content, issue a warning or ban the member, but it does not promise a warning first. Its 2025 report says most accounts it actions are caught by automated systems.
No. A new account does not touch the decision, and Bumble’s Terms say it may suspend or close an account where you have multiple accounts. A second ban on the same person also gives Bumble a second breach to cite when you appeal the first.
No. Bumble is a separate company from Match Group, which owns Tinder and Hinge, so a Bumble block does not reach them. Bumble and Badoo are run by the same company, so a block on one can arrive with a block on the other.
It tells you the rule. The notification names the Community Guidelines ground, and in the EU a statement of reasons should reach the email on the account. It may not tell you who reported you, or the full detail of what its systems saw.
